Quick Setup Guide
This PAX terminal arrives new, unconfigured, and unregistered. Before it can accept payments, the device must be configured and registered with your payment processor or payment solution provider. These setup services are not included with this purchase.
PAXSTORE
Every PAX payment device we ship is pre-installed with PAXSTORE, PAX Technology's cloud-based terminal management platform. PAXSTORE is how payment providers deploy and maintain PAX hardware in the field: assigning terminals to merchants, pushing payment applications and firmware, applying parameter files, and managing updates remotely once a terminal is online.
Because these units are already in PAXSTORE, your payment solution provider may be able to move them into their own marketplace and configure them remotely, with no hands-on work required at your location. The device simply needs power and an internet connection to receive its assigned applications and parameters.
Remote deployment is not universal. Configuration paths vary by provider:

Remote (PAXSTORE push). Providers with an active PAXSTORE marketplace can assign the terminal to a merchant profile and push the payment app, parameter file, and any firmware updates over the air. This is the fastest path and typically requires only the device serial number.

Hands-on configuration. Some processors, gateways, and semi-integrated solutions require the terminal to be physically staged: local app loading, on-device parameter entry, key injection, or a specific build that is not distributed through PAXSTORE.
Before ordering, we recommend confirming with your payment solution provider that they support remote PAXSTORE deployment for your intended application.
